A Cake Smash session? Whats that you ask? It's only one of the most fun sessions you'll ever witness & as the title suggests it is simply giving our little birthday child a cake & letting them smash it up!

Many people ask 'whats the point?' thats an easy one to answer to have fun!! & whats more fun than being given a cake & being allowed to just smash it up & do as you please with it?!

I absolutely LOVE cake smashes they totally fill me with joy & make me laugh so much. There's no two the same, each & every little one approaches the session in a different way, some absolutely love the cake & get stuck right in, we also have our little shy ones that need some encouragement & sometimes we have times when they don't like the cake at all but thats ok as we end all smashes with a splash in the tub & that goes down a storm! Especially as I encourage them to splash as much as possible ;)

I aim to make each cake smash unique & try my hardest not to do the same thing twice even if the colour scheme is the same. When you book we will discuss in as much detail as you'd like on exactly how you want your cake smash to look, whether you would like a simple plain set with balloons/bunting or a more extravagant one that has a theme I will create it for you.

Once we decide on what you'd like it to be like I give the information to my baker Lucianna of Tiers & Teacups the brief & she creates lovely cakes to accompany your chosen look.

If your thinking oh I wish I could but bubs has allergies still pop me an email as Lucianna is great!! She has made many cakes for my little smashers with allergies we've had no egg, no wheat & all sorts. Be sure to check her out for their party cakes too she creates some amazing cakes, my favourite being her frozen one complete with a snow globe on top!

When you come in for the smash we will start by taking a series of portraits of your little one, most bring in a special dress or outfits for these. Once we've done the more formal images we then get them changed & introduce the cake after a good old smash I go & fill the tub & we pop them in for a splash.
