Cake Smash...?

I have been a cake smash photographer in Bromley, Kent for almost 8 years & I still have so many people ask me "a cake smash, what is a cake smash"?!

Well I'm here today to not only explain what a cake smash is but to show you! I mean whats reading without pretty pictures ;)
(joke, I'm an avid reader & not just of picture books!)

A cake smash, lets start simple.

Well it is exactly as it sounds, we give your baby a cake & we let them smash it up but ultimately its a whole lot more than that.
It is a journey of discovery, especially for little ones who haven't yet had their first taste of buttercream or cake.
An adventure in a custom created set where they're free to explore & touch & feel at home.
Cake smashes are fun, oh so much fun!! Now don't get me wrong I'm not saying every little boy and girl get stuck in right away. In fact many don't, which may surprise you looking at images of cake smashes that all seem perfectly smashed. The truth is myself or parents will get stuck in too! Yep, you've read that correctly as it's so new some are overwhelmed & need a little help.
Our cake smashes are also unique to the individual. We strive to make your bespoke cake smash just that bespoke to you.
Last but not least they are a wonderful keepsake not only for you but for your little one as they grow & get older.

Bespoke, what do you mean by that?

Your cake smash is entirely designed around a theme or colour scheme that you give me. Below are just a few of our bespoke cake smashes we've created this year so far.

As you can see unicorn has been very popular this year & equally as you can see each is unique in its own right.

I don't think I want a themed cake smash...

That's absolutely fine too as we also do our  new Simply White cake smash sessions which is perfect for those not wanting anything elaborate.

I've seen some images of babies in a little bath tub, do you include that?

Yes, I absolutely do! Every one of my bespoke cake smashes include a splash, & we do encourage them to splash!, in one of our little tubs. The roll top tub is by far our most popular.

 

I'm not very creative but would like a bespoke cake smash...
