Planning the perfect Easter Egg Hunt

Easter is a lovely opportunity to spend time with family, and of course it’s a time of year when there are tons of treats so the children are always happy to get involved. For younger children and toddlers, an Easter Egg Hunt is a traditional way to have some Easter themed fun. To help you have the best Easter Egg Hunt ever, I’ve created a free download for you to print at home - it’s at the bottom of this blog post!

Easter Egg Hunt for Toddlers

Creating the perfect Easter egg hunt for toddlers can be a fun and exciting way to celebrate Easter. Here are some tips to help you plan a successful event:

  1. Choose a good location: Choose a location that is safe and easy for everyone to navigate. This could be a park, your back garden, or even your living room.
  2. Decide on the number of eggs: Decide on the number of eggs you want to hide, making sure there are enough for each child to find a few.
  3. Select age-appropriate eggs: Remember that some easter treats, such as mini eggs, present a choking hazard for toddlers.
  4. Plan the hiding spots: Plan the hiding spots in advance, making sure they are easy for toddlers to see and reach. Consider hiding eggs in plain sight or in low-lying areas. Use my brilliant download at the bottom of the blog to give the children easy hints about where they can find the treats.
  5. Make it a team effort: Encourage parents and older siblings to help hide the eggs, making it a fun and interactive experience for everyone.
  6. Provide baskets: Provide each child with a basket or bag to collect the eggs in.
  7. Set a start time: Set a start time for the egg hunt and make sure everyone is ready and in place.
  8. Give clear instructions: Give clear instructions to the children, such as “Find as many eggs as you can and put them in your basket.”
  9. Add other activities: Consider adding other activities such as an Easter-themed craft or a picnic to make the event more enjoyable for the children.
  10. Take plenty of photographs: Take photos of the children during the egg hunt to capture your gorgeous memories.

Easter is such a fabulous time of year, the weather is starting to warm up a little, and everyone is looking forward to the summer.  These are just a few of the reasons that it's a favourite time of year for family portraits.
