Harry Potter Inspired Scavenger Hunt!

During the lockdown you could look from your garden for some of the items, or you could bookmark this ready for when the lockdown lifts and we can venture further out again!
Hi everyone! How's your social distancing/self isolation going? Some of you would have seen that last week we went on an Harry Potter Inspired Scavenger Hunt! A Forbidden Forest one to be exact.
As we're social distancing it was just Leah, Freya and I that went. Lucky for us our house backs directly onto the local woods, which we visited prior to the lockdown being enforced.

Freya has (to my absolute pleasure!) become a little Harry Potter addict, like me! So to make our walk a little more interesting I made her up a Forbidden Forest scavenger hunt sheet. This was inspired by Zoe of My Little Wildlings who has the cutest adventures with her four kiddos, including some epic scavenger hunts around Scotland, which I'm so doing with Freya once this all clears!

Take a look at my crazy mad artistic skills featuring here on the little map drew her ;) Off we went, Freya with her map and pen in hand! You can do this hunt at any park/woodland area near you, its not just for Harry Potter fans neither. Any age can join in, perhaps collect a couple of wands (twigs) for each of them on your travels too.

Freya is 9 and loved doing this hunt. It helped add some entertainment into our walk and got her looking around and taking in the surroundings more than she would have if we were just walking around.

We (Freya!) managed to find all but one on our maps, it seems the spiders really have all moved into our house as we didn't see any in the woods. I originally had dirigible plums on our list too however we didn't see any colour coming through on any of the trees/bushes so I've taken it off the map I've created for you to print out and do with your littles.
