Family Photo Session
Hey all! I thought I'd do a quick post on family sessions.
So you've booked your family session, decided on location & outfits everything is good. Then suddenly worry sets in what if the kids don't behave, what if they don't smile, gosh I hope Charlie doesn't start shouting poop or worse ;) etc.
Guess what... I love all those moments that you dread! Yep thats right I do, they add character & real life to your images. But most of all they bring the laughter & love out to play.
This is a selection from one of my recent family sessions. Mum was worried we didn't have many as the session wasn't running the way she expected. When she came in for her viewing she was shocked at the images we got.
This to me is pure & natural, just the way families are.
So much loving for Mummy & Daddy.
My girls love a kiss shot its something they've always done & we will continue to do as its 'their thing'. Not only that, its also what we mums, dads, siblings, grandparents all do, its a way of saying hello, saying I love you and more. It should be captured in time for our children to see how much they were loved. How you should have time to kiss, cuddle & be together.
I'm always looking for the in-between shot, the moment they think 'thats it she's not taking anymore of me' & capturing that. Thats when we see personalities shine through. That's when the real smiles come out.
Or the little serious wonderment/what does she want face ;)
The moments when they sit together & pick the flowers or pull all the grass up.
To when he's hugging Daddy so I want to as well.
I love to be capturing another family member to turn & find the rest of the family being as they are always, doing what they'd usually do when the visit the park.
I was capturing little Miss Alara when I turned round to see dad throwing Master Ayaan in the air. I didn't pause to watch the moment I captured the moment, after all thats what I'm here for.
This little pickle did not want to walk with Dad, Mum & Big Bro she wanted to walk her own path & do things her way... A girl after my own heart!
When you next book a family session with me don't feel you have to tell the kids make sure you smile big, don't show me up, please just be good just while we do this. As thats not them being themselves, they'll be holding their personalities in & as they grow those little cheeky comments, ways & smiles start to disappear. Before they become fully grown into one of us boring folk who have to be the ones in charge & help them know right from wrong, bring them along so we can capture them in the time where they are care free, honest & a little cheeky.
What are you waiting for, drop me a line!
