Newborn sessions are completely unique in the sense that they are done with each individual baby in mind. We never rush our newborn sessions they are completely baby led. Most are finished within 2-3 hours however some can last up to 4 or only for 1! It’s entirely based around your baby & how they are on the day.

The ideal time to photograph your precious new baby is around 5 to 12 days of age. At this age your baby is still very sleepy and flexible, this allows us to safely and comfortably pose your baby in the beautiful, dreamy, sleepy poses that you see throughout our portfolio.

The best time to book in your session is from when you know your due date. I will make a note of it in my diary & when baby arrives you let me know & we schedule in your session. As babies run on their own schedule & can arrive up to two weeks early or late, we only book in 3 newborn sessions per week of each month, so be sure to book early to avoid disappointment as we only do one newborn session a day.

Due to the nature of babies arriving early/late we will sometimes have an opening in our diary so if your baby is already here pop us an email as we may be able to fit you in.

You just need to bring yourselves along to the studio & if you’re bottle feeding an extra feed for just incase. Its very warm in the studio & sometimes they’ll need a little top up. If you have any little personal items you’d like to be included in your session feel free to bring them along however we have pretty much everything in the studio. In terms of clothing comfort is your best friend, if you feel comfortable you’ll look comfortable, for colours go for neutral tones, noting too bright that will take the attention away from you as a family.
