Cake smash sessions are one of my absolute favourites to capture—after all, what’s better than adorable little ones, messy fun, and, of course, cake?!

As any of my past clients will tell you, I love cake smash photography! You might not find me in my best attire during the session, but that just means I’m ready to get stuck in and create the most fun and memorable experience for you and your little one. Every cake smash is 100% bespoke—I’ll work with you to design a one-of-a-kind setup that reflects your style, theme, and colours.

What to Expect from Your Cake Smash Session

1. Mini Portrait Session

Before the cake comes out, we begin with a beautiful portrait session of your baby in a special birthday outfit. This allows us to capture classic, timeless images of your little one before the fun (and mess) begins.

2. The Cake Smash

Now, the real excitement starts! We bring out the cake and let your baby explore, play, and smash it while we capture every moment. Whether they dive in enthusiastically or cautiously poke at the frosting, we document every adorable reaction.

3. Splash Time in the Baby Tub

To wrap up the session, we offer a mini bath shoot, where your little one can enjoy splashing around in a warm tub. This is not only a fun way to end the session but also a great opportunity for additional adorable photos. If your child prefers not to go in the tub, we have plenty of wipes on hand to clean up.
